In Datatruck, you can configure Email Templates to automatically send updates at specific stages of a load’s lifecycle. These notifications help keep brokers informed without requiring manual updates.
Once email templates are enabled from AI Updater Settings, you’ll also need to enable them from the Status Updates within a load. From there, you can choose to enable all templates or only the ones most relevant to your operations.
Available Email Templates
Here are the six templates you can use:
Dispatched
Use Case: Sends an email once the driver has been dispatched.
Example: “The driver is en route to pick up the load location.”
Checked In at Pickup
Use Case: Notifies when the driver arrives at the shipper’s location.
Example: “The driver arrived at the shipper.”
Checked Out at Pickup
Use Case: Informs when loading is complete and the driver is leaving the pickup location.
Example: “The load has been picked up and the driver has started rolling to the destination.”
In Transit
Use Case: Provides ongoing location updates while the driver is in transit.
Example: “Current location: {{ current_location.location_name }}.”
Checked In at Delivery
Use Case: Alerts when the driver arrives at the receiver’s location.
Example: “The driver arrived at the receiver.”
Checked Out at Delivery
Use Case: Confirms successful delivery of the load.
Example: “The load has been delivered to the destination.”
Key Notes
You can enable all six templates for full visibility or selectively enable only those most relevant to your workflow.
Templates are customizable, click Edit Template to modify the wording as needed.
Automated updates reduce manual communication and improve transparency for your customers.
