Delay reports are essential in logistics and transportation to ensure that any deviations from scheduled pickup or delivery times are tracked and resolved. These reports provide transparency and accountability for all parties involved. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to add and view delay reports.

Adding a Delay Report

To add a delay report, follow these simple steps:

  1. Locate the Delay Reporting Section In Load Info:
Open the load and the scroll down, find the section that allows you to report delays. This will typically be marked as "Report Delay Reason".

  2. Fill Out the Required Fields:
You will see several fields that need to be completed. These are necessary to properly document the delay:

    • Reason for Delay:
Choose from a dropdown list, such as "Loading delay" or other appropriate options that explain why the delay occurred. For example, the report might include options like equipment malfunction, weather issues, or traffic delays.

    • Who’s at Fault:
Select who is responsible for the delay. Options can include "Customer", "Driver", "Carrier", etc.

    • Explanation:
Provide a detailed explanation of the delay. This might include specific issues that caused the delay, like difficulties in loading or unexpected weather disruptions. A thorough explanation is helpful for further action.

  3. Upload Relevant Documents:
If there are any documents, such as receipts, photos, or reports, you can upload them in this section. The platform typically supports various file types, such as PDFs, images, or Word documents (max file size: 25MB).

  4. Submit the Report:
Once you've filled out all the necessary information, click Submit to log the delay report.

To view a delay report, simply navigate to the ETA section for a specific load. Click on View Report to see detailed information, such as the delay reason, responsible party, delay duration, and the explanation provided. This allows for easy tracking and understanding of the cause of the delay, along with who is accountable, helping to manage any issues effectively.
