In Datatruck, you can manage your tasks from two places, the main Tasks section in the left sidebar,
or directly from your Profile under the My Tasks tab.
The My Tasks tab shows only the tasks assigned to you, making it easy to stay focused on your own responsibilities without seeing the full team workload.
Tasks in Datatruck can be linked to a Truck, Trailer, Driver, or Load, and can include subtasks, priorities, notes, and assignees, making them useful for operations, dispatch, HR, safety, fleet follow-ups, and more.
How to Access Your Tasks from Your Profile
Step 1: Go to Your Profile
Click on your profile in Datatruck.
Step 2: Open the My Tasks Tab
Click the My Tasks tab. This will display all tasks currently assigned to you.
Task Statuses
Tasks in Datatruck are grouped into three status categories:
To-Do
Tasks that are pending and need your attention. These are your active, open tasks.
Completed
Tasks you have finished. Once marked complete, a task moves here automatically.
Archived
Tasks that are no longer active but are kept for record-keeping and reference.
Filtering Your Tasks
You can narrow down your task list using the following filters:
- Search — search by keyword within task names
- Date Range — filter tasks by a specific From Date and To Date
- Project Name — filter by the project the task belongs to
- Group by — sort tasks by Task Name, Start Date, Assignee, Due Status, Truck, Trailer, Driver, Load, or Note
These filters are especially useful when managing multiple projects or when following up on tasks linked to a specific load or driver.
View Options
You can switch between two views depending on your workflow:
Board View
A visual layout showing tasks grouped into columns by status: In Progress, In Review, and Completed. Best for tracking progress at a glance.
Table View
A structured list format showing all task details in rows and columns. Best for reviewing multiple tasks quickly or sorting by a specific field.
Archived
A separate tab that stores all archived tasks for reference without cluttering your active view.
Creating a New Task
To create a task directly from your profile:
- Click Create New in the top-right corner of the My Tasks section.
- Fill in the task details: name, assignee, due date, linked entity (truck, driver, load, etc.), and any notes.
- Click Save.
This is useful for setting personal reminders or follow-up items tied to a specific driver, truck, or load.
Updating a Task Status
From The Bulk Actions, you have two options:
Mark as Completed
Use this when a task is finished. The task will move to the Completed section.
Archive
Use this when a task is no longer active but you want to keep it for records. The task moves to the Archived tab and is removed from your active view.
