When working with a load in Datatruck, you'll notice two types of time fields for both pickup and delivery: Appointment and Factual.
- Appointment time is the planned schedule: set by the broker or customer before the load moves.
- Factual time is the real timestamp: recorded when the driver actually checks in or out at the stop.
1. Pickup Time Appointment
What it is: The scheduled pickup time set by the broker, shipper, or customer. This is typically the time listed on the rate confirmation.
Where to find it: Load detail page > Stops section > Pickup stop > Appointment Date/Time field.
It usually reflects the start of the pickup window (e.g., if the window is 08:00–12:00, this will show 08:00).
2. Pickup Time Factual
What it is: The actual time the driver checked out at the pickup location. This may differ from the appointment time depending on real-world conditions (early arrival, delays, etc.).
Where to find it: Load detail page > Trips section > relevant trip row.
This field is editable and is the primary time used for:
- Driver statements
- On-time pickup performance tracking (compared against Pickup Time Appointment)
- Operational reports
3. Delivery Time Appointment
What it is: The scheduled delivery time set by the broker, shipper, or customer, also typically found on the rate confirmation.
Where to find it: Load detail page > Stops section > Delivery stop > Appointment Date/Time field.
For delivery windows, this usually reflects the end of the window (e.g., if the window is 08:00–18:00, this will show 18:00).
4. Delivery Time Factual
What it is: The actual time the driver checked out at the final delivery stop. This may differ from the appointment time.
Where to find it: Load detail page > Trips section > relevant trip row.
This field is editable and is the primary time used for:
- Driver statements
- On-time delivery performance tracking (compared against Delivery Time Appointment)
- Operational and financial reports
