Subject: API Token Request — [Company Name]

Hi,

We are integrating Nexus ELD with our Datatruck TMS. Could you please provide our API token to complete the setup?

Our MC number is [MC Number].

Thank you,

[Phone Number]

Setup Steps

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > ELD

  2. Find the Nexus ELD card and click Get Started (shows View Connection if already set up)

  3. Click Create
  4. Fill in:
    • USDOT
    • MC Number
    • Token: paste your Nexus ELD API token here
  5. Click Test Connection: you should see "Connection successful"
  6. Click Save

What Syncs

Once connected, Nexus ELD brings in:

  • Truck location
  • Odometer
  • Speed
  • Driver Hours of Service

Important Notes

  • Trucks are matched by VIN: the VIN in Datatruck must match exactly the one in Nexus. A mismatch means that truck won't receive location updates
  • Drivers are matched by full name: the driver's name in Datatruck must match the name in Nexus (first/last order doesn't matter)
  • If trucks aren't syncing after a successful connection, see: How To Sync/Update Telematics
