Skybitz is a self-serve telematics integration that syncs trailer location data into Datatruck. It tracks trailers, not trucks, check the Connected Trailers count after syncing.

Where: Settings > Integrations > Telematics

Before You Start

Contact your Skybitz representative to request your Client ID and Client Secret:

To: your Skybitz representative
Subject: API Credentials Request  [Company Name]

Hi,

We are integrating Skybitz with our Datatruck TMS. Could you please provide our Client ID and Client Secret to complete the setup?

Our MC number is [MC Number].

Setup Steps

1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Telematics
   
   
    

2. Find the Skybitz card and click Get Started
   
   
    

3. Select your MC Number

4. Enter the credentials

   • Username field > enter your Client ID

   • Password field > enter your Client Secret

   • Leave Token empty

5. Click Connect to Skybitz
   
   
    

6. On the details page, click Sync Trucks

7. Compare Total Trailers with Connected Trailers. A gap means unit numbers don't match between Skybitz and Datatruck
   
   
    

8. In the Option / Send table, toggle on the data points you want synced and click Save

Important Notes

• Skybitz tracks trailers, not trucks, check Connected Trailers after syncing

• The credential fields have mismatched labels. Client ID goes in Username and Client Secret goes in Password. Leave Token empty

• There is no Test Connection button, a successful connect and sync confirms the integration is working
