There can be multiple reasons why you're not able to create a truck. The main two reasons are:
Required Fields
Fields marked with a red * are required before a truck can be saved: Make, Model, Unit Number, Plate Number, VIN, Year, State, Ownership Type, and MC Number.
If any required field is left blank, the truck will not save.
"Truck with this VIN already exists"
What it means: The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) you entered is already registered to a truck in your Datatruck account.
How to fix it:
- Check your existing truck list under Fleet Management > All Trucks to find the duplicate
- If the truck was previously deactivated, reactivate it instead of creating a new entry
- If the VIN was entered incorrectly on an existing truck, correct it there before adding the new truck
