In Datatruck, you can control which Truck and Trailer documents are visible to drivers on the mobile app and whether drivers are allowed to upload files directly from their devices. This ensures flexibility, compliance, and ease of managing documentation.
Accessing Document Settings
Go to Settings.
Under TMS Customizations, select Documents.
Choose either the Truck or Trailer tab, depending on which type of documents you want to manage.
Here, you’ll see a list of all existing document folders (e.g., Insurance, Inspection, Lease Agreement).
Show or Hide Documents on Mobile
Each document folder includes a “Show on mobile” toggle:
Enabled (purple) → The folder will appear in the driver’s mobile app.
Disabled (gray) → The folder will not be visible in the mobile app.
Use this option to keep sensitive or internal documents hidden while still storing them in the system.
Enable Uploading from Mobile
Next to each document folder, you’ll find an “Upload enabled on mobile” toggle:
Enabled (purple) → Drivers can upload files directly from their mobile app into this folder.
Disabled (gray) → Drivers cannot upload documents for this folder.
This feature is especially useful for driver-submitted files such as Inspection reports, Insurance proofs, or Permit confirmations.
Examples
Truck Insurance folder → Show on mobile + Enable upload, so drivers can always see coverage and submit updates.
Trailer Inspection folder → Show on mobile + Enable upload, so drivers can attach completed inspections.
Lease Agreement folder → Hide from mobile + Disable upload, since it’s internal and not needed by drivers.
