How To Add Insurance Details for Trailer

Managing insurance records for trailers is an essential part of fleet management. Keeping accurate insurance information ensures compliance, safety, and smooth operations. Datatruck makes it simple to add and manage insurance details for each trailer.

 

Step 1: Open the Trailer's Profile

  1. Log in to your Datatruck Account.

  2. Navigate to the Trailers section from Fleet Management.

  3. Select the trailer you want to update.

  4. Open the Safety Tasks tab.

Step 2: Add New Insurance

  • In the Insurances section, click Add Insurance.

  • A form will appear on the right-hand side of the screen.


     

Step 3: Enter Insurance Details

Fill in the required fields in the form:

  • MC Number: Select or enter the Motor Carrier (MC) number.

  • Active: Check this box if the policy is currently active.

  • Provided by Company: Check if the insurance is company-provided.

  • Policy Number (Required): Enter the policy number.

  • Type: Select the insurance type (e.g., Liability, Physical Damage, Cargo).

  • Start On: Enter the policy start date.

  • Expires On (Required): Select the expiration date of the policy.

  • Total Coverage (Required): Enter the total coverage amount.

  • Deductible (Required): Enter the deductible amount.

  • Notes: Add any additional details as needed.

Step 4: Save the Record

  • Once all details are completed, click Add.

  • The insurance record will be saved.
