Keeping documents organized for each MC Number is quite straightforward in Datatruck. You can upload important files like registration forms, financial documents, or driver credentials directly to the MC profile and even create your own custom folders.
How to Upload Documents to a MC Number
- Go to the MC Number section from Settings.
- Double-click the MC you want to update.
- Navigate to the Documents tab.
- You’ll see six default folders:
- Registration
- General
- Financial Documents
- Driver’s CDL
- COI (Certificate of Insurance)
- Misc
- Use the upload option to add files into the appropriate folder.
- Click Save for the documents to be uploaded successfully.
Creating Custom Folders (If Needed)
If you don’t see a folder that matches the document type, no problem. You can create your own:
- Go to Settings > Documents > MC Number.
- Click Create.
- Name the folder as needed.
- Your custom folder will now appear in the Documents tab of the MC profile.
Note: Once a custom folder is created, it cannot be deleted, However, you can:
- Delete the contents inside it
- Rename the folder if needed
- Leave it empty if no longer in use
