Profit By Customer Report

The Profit by Customer report shows how much revenue, cost, and gross income each broker or shipper generated over a selected period. It helps you identify your most profitable customers, spot low-margin relationships, and make informed decisions about which customers to prioritize.

Where: Reports → Profit Reports → Profit by Customer

 

How to Run the Report

  1. Go to Reports → Profit Reports

  2. Click the Profit by Customer tab


     

  3. Set the Period — enter a date range

  4. Select the Time Type — e.g., Factual Time

  5. Select the Load Status — e.g., Delivery

  6. Click Apply

 

What the Report Shows

Each row represents one customer for the selected period:

  • Customer Name — the broker or shipper; click to drill into that customer's individual loads

  • Total Loads Count — number of loads completed for this customer in the period

  • Total Miles — loaded miles driven for this customer

  • Empty Miles — deadhead miles associated with their loads

  • Revenue — total amount billed to this customer

  • Revenue per Mile — revenue divided by total miles

  • Total Cost — all expenses associated with their loads

  • Gross Income — Revenue minus Total Cost

  • Gross Margin % — Gross Income as a percentage of Revenue; shown as a visual bar for quick comparison


The Total row at the bottom summarizes all customers for the period.
