Load Templates let you save a recurring load's details,  so you can create new loads from it in seconds instead of filling everything in from scratch each time. Templates can also auto-generate loads on a schedule so recurring lanes run without any manual input.

Where: Settings > Templates > Load Template tab

How to Create a Template

Option 1:  From Settings

1. Go to Settings > Templates > Load Template tab
2. Click Create New
   
   
    
3. Enter a Template Name:  leave Template ID blank and the system generates a lane code automatically
    
4. Set the Template Schedule:
   • Frequency: leave as None for a reusable manual template, or select Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, or Annually for recurring auto-generation
     
      
   • If a frequency is selected, also set:
     • Start Date
     • Occurrence: Always, Times (set a number), or Until Date
     • Repeat On: specific days for weekly/bi-weekly, or day of month for monthly
     • Auto-Create Lead Time: how many days before the run date the load should appear on the board
       
       
        
5. Configure the Load ID Format:
   • Prefix: text that starts every Load ID (e.g., CHCGO, LD)
   • Separator: Dash (-) or other
   • Next #: the number the next generated load will use
   • A preview line shows exactly what the first Load ID will look like
     
     
     
      
6. Fill in the required load details: Load Pay, Customer, Company MC, Epquipment Type, Load Currency, and Tags if needed
   
   
    
7. Add Stops using Add Stop. The first stop's date is the run date itself, only set its times. Every stop after it is set as an offset from the previous one (hours or days)
   
   
    
8. Add Commodities and Special Instructions if needed
9. Click Create
   
   

Option 2: While Creating a Load

1. On the load creation screen, click Load Builder at the top right
2. Set Load Builder Type to From Load Template
3. Either:
   • Select an existing template from the Template Name dropdown, the load form pre-fills the details 
   • Or click + Create New Template to build one on the spot

How to Use an Existing Template

1. Click Create Load and select Load Builder
2. Set Load Builder Type to From Load Template
3. Search and select the template from the dropdown
4. The load is pre-filled, confirm or adjust dates and times per stop
5. Click Create Load

How Auto-Scheduling Works

• Generated loads come in as Booked with no driver assigned, carrying the template's Load ID pattern, customer, MC, and rate
• Editing a template that has already generated upcoming loads will prompt "Schedule change detected", check Apply for booked loads too to push the changes onto them. Loads already in execution or delivered are never touched

Managing Templates

In the template list, click the three-dot menu on any row to access:

• Edit: update any template details
• Make Inactive / Make Active: pause or resume generation, optionally from a specific date

• Archive: permanently stops generation and hides the template from the load builder. Loads already created keep their template reference. There is no delete option.
