What Are Accessorials?

Accessorials are additional charges added to a load beyond the base freight rate. They compensate the carrier for extra services, delays, or conditions that were not part of the original load agreement.

Common examples include:

  • Detention
  • Lumper fees
  • Layover
  • TONU
  • Fuel surcharge

How to Add an Accessorial to a Load

  1. Open the load in Load Management.
  2. Scroll down to the Other Pay section.
  3. Click Add Accessorial or select the relevant accessorial type from the available options.

  4. Enter the amount and any required details such as confirmation number or notes.
  5. Click Save.

The accessorial will be reflected in the load's total pay and the driver's settlement.
