Editing a load in Datatruck TMS allows you to update trip details, correct mileage, change driver assignments, and adjust stop locations, as long as the load hasn’t been finalized in invoice or salary.

Follow the steps below to make edits, along with important conditions to keep in mind.

Step 1: Open the Load

  1. Go to the Loads section in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click on the Load ID of the load you want to edit.
This will open the full load details.

Step 2: Edit Load and Trip Details

You can make changes in two main areas:

Load Information

Scroll down in the load info and click "Edit Load" to:

  • Change Maps

  • Update rates

  • Change customer and so on.
    Once done hit Save Load.

Also, while being in the Load Info, you can edit the locations and add stops but it should be done when the load is in Booked status or else you won’t be able to edit stops once the load is Delivered or beyond.

If the load is in In-Transit status you need to add stops from Trips.

Additionally, if you would scroll down you can also add TONU, Detention etc if it wasn't previously added.

Trips

Go to the Trips section of the load. Here you can:

  • Edit driver name

  • Update truck or trailer number

  • Modify empty miles or last location

  • Adjust check in/check out times

Note: If it's in an Invoice Batch or Salary Batch you must delete the batch first, then click "Undo" to return the load to Delivered status to make the changes.
