Datatruck lets you add a detention fee directly to a load, charging the broker/customer and paying the driver accordingly.

Steps

1. Open the load and click Add New Detention Fee.
   
   
    
2. Choose how the amount should be applied:
   • Full Amount, or
   • By Payment Tariff
3. If the amount you agreed to pay the driver differs from the detention fee charged to the broker, use the Override option to set the driver's pay separately.
4. Save the entry.
   
   
    

What Happens Next

• The detention fee is added to the load as an accessorial charge billed to the broker.
• The corresponding driver pay is added automatically and will show up on the driver's future statement.
