Datatruck allows you to assign a driver to their next preplanned load using the "Assign a Driver" status. This status lets you reserve the load for the driver without notifying or dispatching them yet.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the Load in "Booked" status.
   Navigate to the load that is currently in Booked status.
   
   

2. Click "Assign Driver"
   In the top-right corner, click on the "Assign" button.
   
   
   
   

3. Select Driver and Submit
   Choose the driver from the list and click Submit.
   
   
   
   
   

4. Load Now Shows Driver Assigned
   The load will now reflect that a driver is assigned but not yet dispatched.
   
   

To Undo Driver Assignment

If you need to unassign the driver:

1. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the load.

2. Select "Undo".

This workflow helps you plan ahead by assigning loads while retaining control over when to dispatch and notify drivers.
