Create new location

In Datatruck TMS, there is a location feature. Locations are Shipper and Receiver Addresses. It can be Consignee or Delivery location. The purpose of saving this data is that it can be analysed what are the lanes most used by the truck carriers later on.

Locations are usually created automatically via load creation by TruckGPT. Google APIs can create a map afterwards. Alternatively, locations can be created manually. To do so, please go to the Customer relationship management (CRM) section of the Datatruck software.

Please find below the formal instructions to add a new truck to the system:

Step 1. Create new location

Click on the right upper corner button “Create” to create new location in the system.

Step 2. Enter new location details

Enter the location information accurately, including company name, address, state, city, zip code and contact name.

Step 3. Save it

Double-check all the entered information to ensure its accuracy and completeness. Save the information to create new location, and it will appear on your CRM list on location section.

It is important to note that adding a new location to the system is a crucial process that requires attention to detail, especially when setting up the address. By following the above steps and ensuring the accuracy of the entered information, you can successfully add a new location to the system and manage your CRM list efficiently.
